Yes! Online photos may look great, but they don’t always accurately represent texture, sheen, or true color. We recommend viewing the product in a local store or requesting a sample from us before making your final decision. We also love the room visualizer technology we have on our site from Roomvo. Be sure to check out our Nice Floors Sample Box as well and get up to 10 sample cuttings sent of our in stock products of your choice or from one of our pre-made boxes.
Yes! If you refer a contractor or installer to us and they enroll in our wholesale program, you’ll receive a one time discount off your order. We appreciate referrals and love working with professionals in the industry.
You may have seen a name-brand product in a local store, but we often have alternatives with similar looks and specifications at a lower price. Consider small spec changes like choosing engineered over solid flooring or a 2mm wear layer instead of 3mm—these adjustments can significantly reduce costs while maintaining quality.
Absolutely.
Many homeowners compare hardwood, luxury vinyl plank (LVP), laminate, and engineered hardwood before making a final decision. Seeing them side by side often makes the choice much easier.
Sample purchases are generally non-returnable because they’re cut specifically for evaluation.
The good news is they’re a small investment that can help prevent ordering the wrong floor for your home. You get a coupon towards your flooring purchase based on the value of your box at your time of purchase. $25.00 on a sample box, $25.00 coupon towards your flooring order!
Absolutely.
We encourage you to handle it, walk on it, and compare the texture with other options. It’s one of the best ways to understand how the floor will feel in your home. The size of the sample may make it difficult to walk across it as they will only be approximately 10″ long, but you should definitely step upon it and see how it feels underfoot.

Flooring can look surprisingly different depending on the lighting.
Most samples are approximately 6–12 inches long, depending on the manufacturer and product.
They’re large enough to evaluate color, texture, finish, and construction while keeping shipping affordable.
Most sample boxes ship within 1–2 business days.
Shipping times depend on your location, but many customers receive their samples within a few business days.
Yes.
Our samples are cut directly from the actual flooring you’ll receive when you place your order, so you’ll see the same construction, finish, texture, and color.
Because wood and many realistic flooring products naturally vary, expect some differences between individual planks.
Your flooring sample box contains up to floor sample cuttings of the flooring you selected, carefully packaged to protect them during shipping. We also communicate our expertise about the products and ordering so you can confidently move forward once you’ve found your favorite when you interact via text, email, or by phone with one of our sales people.
Photos on a screen can never perfectly represent a floor’s true color, texture, or variation. Samples let you see your flooring in your home’s lighting, compare it with cabinets, paint colors, furniture, and countertops, and feel the texture before making a large investment.
Once you’ve found the right floor, we’ll help you:
We generally recommend ordering 3–6 flooring samples options. If one of the options is a high variation floor, we try to send multiple cuttings to show that variation.
This gives you enough variety to compare different colors and styles without becoming overwhelmed. Most customers find that comparing a few carefully chosen options makes the decision much easier.
Our flooring specialists are happy to help.
We can explain the differences between products, discuss durability, compare features, and recommend the best option based on your lifestyle and budget.
In many cases, and in the long run, yes.
A Nice Floors sample box helps you avoid purchasing flooring that doesn’t meet your expectations after installation. Spending a little upfront can prevent costly returns, exchanges, or disappointment later. You also will get your money back that you spend on the sample box in the form of $25.00 coupon towards your flooring purchase.
Your sample represents the product, but every floor has natural variation. When a floor is highly varied, we do try to show that variation typically in 1-2 cuttings rather than just 1.
Hardwood has unique grain patterns and color differences from board to board. Luxury vinyl and laminate use multiple printed plank designs to create a natural appearance.
Your finished floor will have much more variation than a single sample piece—which is exactly what makes it beautiful.
